According to multiple people familiar with the matter, SpaceX, the aerospace, satellite and artificial intelligence firm founded by Elon Musk, plans to finalize the terms of its initial public offering (IPO) as early as this Wednesday afternoon, which is expected to set a new record for the largest IPO globally in history.

The insiders revealed that SpaceX will submit updated listing documents to disclose core details of the IPO, including the price range and volume of shares to be issued. The sources spoke on condition of anonymity as the relevant specifics have not been officially unveiled.

Under standard listing procedures, companies can officially launch market roadshows 15 days after their IPO application documents are made public. Bloomberg reported that finalizing the IPO terms on the eve of the roadshow will give investors more time to evaluate the company’s valuation. Featuring a relatively short roadshow schedule, SpaceX is expected to set its final offering price as early as June 11.

Nevertheless, insiders noted that the specific offering details and overall timeline of the IPO remain subject to change. Tech media The Information was the first to report SpaceX’s plan to release relevant listing documents ahead of schedule. To date, a SpaceX spokesperson has not commented on the IPO progress.

In terms of fundraising scale and valuation, SpaceX aims to raise up to $750 billion through the IPO, more than double the $29.4 billion raised by Saudi Aramco in its 2019 IPO. Bloomberg added that SpaceX is targeting a valuation of at least $1.8 trillion for the upcoming listing.
